David Pinckney

A Chartered Accountant with Peat Marwick (now KPMG) from 1963 to 1983, with wide ranging experience of the financial services industry.  From 1998 until the end of 2003 he was Vice Chairman of AXA Investment Managers, the investment management arm of the AXA Group with over £500 billion under management.  From 1987 to 1997 he was Group Finance Director and Joint Managing Director of Wrightson Wood Financial Services Limited.  From 1978 to 1983 he was senior audit partner in Paris of Peat Marwick with responsibility for the whole of France and French speaking Africa.  He is a non-executive Director of Close Brothers Development VCT plc, and Chairman of Ventus VCT plc and Rutley Property Plc.
